Timothée Chalamet Names ECW One Night Stand 2006 As His Favorite PPV
Timothée Chalamet looks back on ECW One Night Stand 2006.
In 2006, for the second straight year, ECW was revived under the WWE umbrella with One Night Stand taking place at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
The event was headlined by Rob Van Dam challenging John Cena for the WWE Championship.
Speaking to Cody Rhodes on What Do You Want To Talk About? actor Timothée Chalamet looked back on the event.
“That’s my favorite pay-per-view ever; ECW One Night Stand (2006) in Hammerstein. Sabu vs. Rey Mysterio. John Cena. That’s when RVD’s push got canceled for a weed violation. That crowd was electric,” said Chalamet.
With help from Adam Copeland (Edge in WWE), RVD won the WWE Championship from Cena. RVD’s reign ended 22 days later after he was arrested for speeding and possession of marijuana.
The event also featured Edge, Mick Foley and Lita vs. Terry Funk, Tommy Dreamer and Beulah McGillicutty, Randy Orton vs. Kurt Angle, and more.
Elsewhere during the interview, Chalamet commented on meeting Batista for the first time. You can find his full comments here.
