Mick Foley: MJF Was Literally Going To Cane Dewey

During a live show on November 23, Mick Foley discussed everything that was related to his potential retirement match. It’s been common knowledge that he and MJF were going to have a six-week program, but the WWE Hall of Famer revealed new information to Inside The Ropes that could’ve been one of the most talked about angles in recent memory.
“You know the promo Cane Dewey?” Foley asked. “He [MJF] was literally going to Cane Dewey. He was going to beat up my son on television and I was going to come back looking for vengeance.”
Foley didn’t give any more details into the angle they had planned as he quickly side-tracked. Regardless, it’s still crazy to think about what could’ve been. The infamous “Cane Dewey” angle nearly came to life as Foley recalled his “top secret meeting” with MJF at a Long Island Steakhouse. During that meeting, the former AEW World Champion laying out his plans for what the two were going to do on television.
Plenty of topics were discussed in the interview, including Foley revealing the only reason he was able to stay in shape. At this point, it doesn’t seem likely that the legendary pro wrestler will ever reveal the true plans as to what he and MJF were going to do.
