The crowd at Saturday Night’s Main Event was not pleased with the final result.
The 26-year pro wrestling career of John Cena came to a close on December 13th at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
In the main event of the show, Cena fell in defeat to two-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER. GUNTHER repeatedly put sleeper holds on Cena, and Cena maneuvered his way out, but the final time, Cena smiled directly at the camera and proceeded to tap out.
Post-match, the entire crew and roster that was backstage came out to surround Cena in the ring. Leading the crowd was Stephanie McMahon and WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque. The crowd began booing when Levesque was spotted.
Levesque was booed again while he was on the ring apron as Cena was going from corner to corner, saying bye to the crowd. Cena and Levesque embraced.
