Del Santo is a legendary luchador who has taken in the footsteps of his father, El Santo in both the wrestling ring and outside of it, being known for making several movie appearances over the years. At 62 years old however, it seems that his career has now come to a close.
On December 13th, El Hijo del Santo announced he would be retiring from pro wrestling at the “Todo por el Todo” at Palacio de los Deportes in México City. He, LA Park & Último Dragón defeated Texano Jr., Dr. Wagner Jr. & Hijo del Fishman in his final match before announcing his retirement.

Beginning his wrestling career in 1982, Del Santo featured as part of AAA and CMLL shows over the years and has faced off with some of lucha libre’s biggest names over the last four decades.
Del Santo’s son also became a professional wrestler in the 2010s, eventually going by “El Santo Jr.”
