CM Punk: I’m Not Going Anywhere Anytime Soon
CM Punk is admittedly closer to the end of his career than the beginning, but he’s not planning on going anywhere anytime soon.
Speaking at the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event post-show, Punk was asked about the retirement of John Cena and if he could envision a similar send-off for himself.
“When I make illusions to the end of whatever my career is going to look like, it’s not because I feel like I’m there. It’s just because I look back at the entirity of my career and there is a lot more road behind me than there is ahead of me. Trust me, I’m the champion for a reason and I’m here to stay. Nobody is going to change that. I’m not going anywhere anytime soon. Sorry if that disappoints. Actually, I’m not sorry. To hell with you. If that upsets you, I’m glad,” said Punk.
Punk is the reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion. He is set to appear on Monday’s WWE Raw.
