The Blade Returns To The Ring After Nearly Two Years

The Blade returned to the ring on December 13 at Blissmas 25 in Buffalo.

It was his first match since February 2024. He underwent spinal fusion surgery in September 2024.

The Blade teamed with his longtime partner The Butcher at the event.

In September 2025, Blade said about his injury, “I had a back fusion, spinal fusion on September 10, 2024. It’s been about a year now. I’m getting close to going back to doctors and getting cleared. I’ve been wrestling 25 years. I’ve had a bad back for a long time. AEW took care of my surgery. They took care of my physical therapy. They’ve been taking care of me for over a year now and I’m really grateful for that.”
