Tomohiro Ishii Returning To In-Ring Action At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20
Ishii is set to return.
Coming up on the docket for New Japan Pro-Wrestling is Wrestle Kingdom 20 at the Tokyo Dome on January 4th, 2026.
The match card for the show is taking its final form, and one of the championship matches on the bill is a Tornado Ranbo match for the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship. At the 12/19 Road to Tokyo Dome show, Taichi was chatting with Satoshi Kojima backstage.
Taichi told Kojima that Tomohiro Ishii is returning at Wrestle Kingdom 20 and he’ll be teaming with him in the Ranbo. Kojima offered to be the third man on their team, and Taichi was on board with that.
Ishii has been out of action since October, when he dislocated his right shoulder while wrestling at an AEW event.
