DDT’s Chris Brookes Attacks El Phantasmo At 12/22 NJPW Event, Wants World TV Title Match At Wrestle Kingdom 20
Chris Brookes called his shot.
In the opening match of NJPW’s Road to Tokyo Dome show on December 22nd, there was an open challenge for El Phantasmo’s NJPW World Television Championship.
Answering the call was Ryusuke Taguchi, and in just under eight minutes, Phantasmo put Taguchi away to retain. After the bout, Phantasmo was attacked by DDT Pro-Wrestling’s Chris Brookes.
Brookes called his shot for an NJPW World TV Title bout at Wrestle Kingdom 20 on January 4th. In Phantasmo’s post-match comments, he said they can meet at the Tokyo Dome if they don’t cross paths before then. DDT has a show the night before Wrestle Kingdom, which will feature IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Konosuke Takeshita in action.
