Killer Kross: Steven Borden Jr. Is Very Sharp, He’s Not Trying To Live Off His Father’s Credentials

Killer Kross has high praise for Steve Borden Jr.

Borden’s name has been in the news as of late, as he made his dark match debut for AEW before the Winter Is Coning episode of Dynamite in Atlanta. This debut comes after Borden’s recent run of matches on the independent scene.

One of those matches took place in October and featured Borden teaming up with JD Drake to face the duo of Killer Kross and Darby Allin. Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview, Kross heaped praise on Borden for being “very sharp”.

“For somebody who is so early in his development as a pro wrestler, he’s very, very sharp. He has the right mentality moving forward. He’s not getting into this for clout. He’s not getting into this for any of the wrong reasons. He wants to develop his own identity through the audience on his own hard work. He’s not looking for any shortcuts. He’s not looking for some murder run where he comes in and has some sort of, I don’t know how you’d put it. Like, he’s not trying to live off his father’s credentials. That’s the most plain, basic way I can put it. He’s good. He’s very, very good. He takes it seriously and he’s training his ass off. So I really like him personally and professionally. I stayed in touch with him and I was very impressed working with him in New York City.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Kross spoke about promoters being hesitant to reach out to him after his departure from WWE. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
