Harley featured as part of the field in the first ever women’s AEW Blood And Guts match this year, and although she and the rest of the babyface team came up short, Harley is proud of each woman who stepped inside the double cage structure.
While speaking to Fightful in a new exclusive interview, Harley Cameron reflected on participating in the AEW Women’s Blood And Guts match this year.
“I was so honored to be a part of it. Again, like you said, I just reflect on the year and think, ‘Holy crap, like, what a year.’ What a wrap up to the year also. Blood & Guts was amazing. I’m so proud of us. I think that we really showed what we could do. Physically, definitely one of the hardest things I’ve done in my life. I will say, think at about the half an hour, 40 minute mark, I definitely got to a point where I was hurting. Like after those belt shots started coming, my soul left my body for a little bit. Obviously we didn’t get the win on that, but I will say we put up a damn good fight. I’m really, really proud to have been a part of it. It’s put a fire under all the women. I will say that I think we are ready for the next one to come.”
Elsewhere in another recent interview, Harley spoke about wrestling not being a stepping stone for her. You can read more about that here.
