MJF: I Think There Is A Different World Where I Wrestle John Cena

AEW was the first major promotion to give MJF his break, but obviously Tony Khan was never able to bring in John Cena. The legendary WWE performer just saw his career come to an end when he tapped out to Gunther.

There aren’t a lot of modern dream matches anymore, but MJF vs. John Cena is certainly one of them. When it comes to the ultimate good guy vs. bad guy showdown, those two would’ve been able to make magic and captivate an audience like no other.

“I think there is a different world where I wrestle John Cena, but unfortunately it’s not this one,” MJF said. “I’ve had so many incredible run-ins with John where we’ve shot the s***. He’s an incredible guy, he watches our product, he’s seen my stuff, he’s very complimentary.”

MJF continued, “Before CM Punk, my favorite wrestler growing up was John Cena. He was a fathead on my wall in my bedroom. I’d wake up, salute the OG, and then get ready for school.”

The now two-time AEW World Champion was able to live out his dream with one of the promotions best feuds against CM Punk. Punk and MJF brought out the best in one another, but sadly MJF won’t ever have the chance to do that with Cena.
