Shayna Baszler Hopes Behind-The-Scenes Role At NXT Becomes Full-Time, Has ‘Never Say Never’ Mindset About Wrestling Again For WWE

Baszler speaks about her guest work at the PC.

Although Shayna Baszler had been released from WWE in May 2025, she would go on to do guest producing work for the NXT brand while her non-compete was still in effect.

While being interviewed by Chris Van Vliet, Baszler shared that the day she was released, she was also told that WWE was open to her continuing to help behind the scenes. She is hoping it could turn into a full-time gig.

“When I got the call about being released, I also got a call that, ‘You know, take some time. But, if you’re still interested in keeping on doing that, we’re open to that idea.’” Van Vliet mentioned that it could turn into a full-time gig, and Baszler replied, “I’m hoping. If I don’t suck too bad at the guest part of it then hopefully…”

Following up on that, Baszler was asked if she feels her WWE in-ring career is done and has a ‘never say never’ mindset about it.

“I mean, never say never in this business… Weirder things have happened. If I get over with something crazy on the indies or something and I get an offer…”

Baszler takes select independent dates. Post-WWE, she’s wrestled for the likes of House of Glory and Prestige Wrestling.
