Javi Bernal Learned That ‘Sometimes It’s Just Not Your Time Yet’ From His Time In WWE

Javi Bernal reflects on his time in WWE, noting that he learned that ‘sometimes it’s just not your time yet’.

In May of this year, Bernal was released from his WWE contract and exited the company on amicable terms, expressing his interest in a future return if the circumstances allow it. During his time with the company, he became a staple of WWE NXT in 2022, and despite injuries, would remain apart of WWE programming up until his release.

While speaking to PWMania in a new interview, the former WWE star was asked about what he learned during his time in WWE, explaining that he learned that ‘sometimes it’s just not your time yet’.

“Sometimes it doesn’t matter how hard you work — it’s time, place, and opportunity. I was there four years. You don’t last four years if you’re not good. John Cena once told me I had match of the night. Booker T always had my back. When guys like that vouch for you, but things still don’t happen, you learn — sometimes it’s just not your time yet. It’s not a no. It’s a ‘not right now.’”
