Willow Nightingale Wins AEW TBS Title, Ends The Reign Of Mercedes Mone

Willow Nightingale has ended the reign of Mercedes Mone, capturing the AEW TBS Championship at AEW Dynamite New Year’s Smash.
Nightingale scored the victory with the Babe with the Powerbomb.
The powerbomb came after a series of reversals where Willow blocked the Mone Maker and got out of a jacknife pin by rolling over and lifting Mone for the powerbomb

After the match, members of the Conglomeration, Harley Cameron, Speedball Mike Bailey, Kevin Knight, and Kris Statlander celebrated with Willow. Statlander and Willow hugged as part of the celebration.
This is the second reign as AEW TBS Champion for Willow. She last held the title from April 21, 2024 to May 26, 2024. Her reign was ended by Mercedes, who held the title for 585 days. She made 23 successful title defenses during her reign.
Willow is also one-half of the AEW Tag Team Champions alongside Harley Cameron.
Mercedes Mone is now down to nine physical championship titles: CMLL World Women’s Championship, Discovery Wrestling Scottish Women’s Championship, EWA Women’s Championship (Austria), PTW Women’s Championship (Poland), BestYa Women’s Championship (Italy), the Bodyslam Women’s Championship (Denmark), WPW Women’s Championship (Canada), APAC Women’s Championship (Malaysia) and the 2025 Owen Hart Foundation Championship.
