Aaron Wolf On Frustration With EVIL: This Isn’t The NJPW I Got Attracted To

Aaron Wolf wants to take down EVIL.
As many fans know, Wolf will make his pro wrestling debut at the Wrestle Kingdom 20 event on Sunday, January 4. He’ll face EVIL for the NEVER Openweight Championship in what will be the first defense of the title since October.
Speaking with NJPW for a new interview, Wolf explained his issues with EVIL and House Of Torture.
“It was less anger and more just feeling like this wasn’t the NJPW I got attracted to. With that frustration, I just didn’t think, just acted on instinct and before I knew it I was throwing all those guys around.”
Continuing on, Wolf explained that he knows that he won’t be having a normal match against EVIL.
“Obviously he has a lot of power, a lot of ability and experience on his side, but he’s also the most completely opposite to fair sportsmanship, and I know this won’t be any normal singles match.”
Speaking about EVIL’s 2025, Wolf had some slight praise for the veteran, saying that he’s a hard guy to beat.
“HOUSE OF TORTURE really grew and evolved, and he made the G1 finals. He’s shown how good he is as a pro-wrestler, and you add onto that the fact he cheats all the time and he’s a hard guy to beat. Pro-wrestling is a much more open field than in judo, and I know I’m coming out of my comfort zone to wrestle somebody like him especially. But I know that he’ll be bending the rules and I want to be able to deal with him. I’ll be fighting fair, but like I did in my judo days, I’ll do all I can to watch tape, research and find the weaknesses I can use to my advantage.”
