Hiroshi Tanahashi Plays Air Guitar One Final Time

Hiroshi Tanahashi couldn’t wrap up his career without one final air guitar solo.

After wrestling Kazuchika Okada in his retirement match and having a proper retirement ceremony that featured the likes of Katsuyori Shibata, Jay White, Kenny Omega, Tetsuya Naito, Kota Ibushi, Will Ospreay, and more, Tanahashi got on the mic.

He thanked the crowd for coming and said he hopes they will continue to support NJPW.

He tried to leave, but was pushed back in the ring and tossed the largest air guitar of all time. Tanahashi ripped off his best air guitar solo ever, and followed it up with multiple encores at the encouragement of the crowd.

He then got the Tokyo Dome crowd to do the wave.

The ceremony closed with the traditional ten bell salute, putting the final bow on the career of Hiroshi Tanahashi.
