Eddie Edwards says that the TNA roster needs to ‘go out there and deliver’ on their AMC premiere.
On the January 15th edition of TNA iMPACT!, the promotion will kick off their TV deal with AMC with a live taping of their weekly show. Since the announcement of the TV deal, several TNA stars have spoken about the upcoming premiere and now, Eddie Edwards has joined them.
While speaking to WhatCulture in a new interview, Edwards spoke about the upcoming AMC premiere of TNA iMPACT!.
“It’s pretty surreal still at this point, honestly. When I hear people, if I see AMC promoting TNA, it’s still like, ‘oh, okay, this is real. This is a real deal. Like, this is happening.’ We’ve all said for however many years at this point that This is what we needed. We needed a channel. We needed a real channel to help get TNA out there, and it has finally happened. Now we have to go out there and deliver because we’ve asked for this. We wanted this all along. We said, ‘this is the only thing we’re missing.’ So right now it’s just the hype. It’s the feeling of excitement that,’ okay, now we can go out there and show all those people who talked to down about us and all those people who thought that TNA was dead.’ I know TNA is very much alive. We’re on AMC and now it’s- we’ve got to go out there and deliver. This is what we ask for, this pressure. Don’t crack under it now. We’ve got to go out there and do it.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Edwards spoke about the WWE-TNA partnership. You can read more about that here.
