JDC Thinks He’s Worked Harder During His TNA Run Than He Did In Most Of His Career
J.D.C. reflects on the time he’s spent with TNA.
For the last several years of his 26-year career, J.D.C. (Johnny Dango Curtis) a.k.a. Fandango has been with TNA Wrestling.
He is set to have the final match of his career at TNA Genesis on January 17th. J.D.C. spoke about that and more while appearing on the Battleground Podcast. He shared his thought that he had worked harder during his TNA run than at any point in his career.
“When I went back to NXT, I talked to Hunter, I’m like, ‘I just wanna have good wrestling matches for the last couple years of my life’ and Hunter put (Tyler) Breeze and I — we wrestled a lot of really great guys, and then TNA, I’m like, ‘I just wanna have good matches.’ I kind of checked the comedy box off and I didn’t really want to just have comedy matches, and people kind of think I was just kind of coasting into retirement. I think I’ve worked harder in TNA the last two or three years than I did in most of my career. Really having long matches, busting my ass. Because I take a lot of pride in that locker room. I take a lot of pride in the guys and girls. We’re all working so hard to get to that TV on Thursday and I say this in all interviews, it’s truly just a family atmosphere backstage…”
JDC’s final match will be against his faction mate in The System, Eddie Edwards. Fightful will have written and audio coverage of Genesis.
