The superfight between Kayla Harrison and Amanda Nunes is reportedly off.
According to The Eagle Tribune, Kayla Harrison suffered a neck injury and will be unable to face Amanda Nunes at UFC 324 on January 24th.
Ariel Helwani of The Uncrowned issued the same report.
Harrison reportedly underwent surgery on herniated discs in her neck and will be sidelined for at least six months.
Harrison and Nunes were scheduled to meet in the co-main event of UFC 324 in a fight for the UFC Bantamweight Championship. Harrison is viewed as the top female fighter today while Nunes is heralded as the greatest female fighter of all-time, coming out of retirement after two years.
Norma Dumont has volunteered to step in and face Nunes on short notice at UFC 324.
UFC 324 will be the first UFC event on Paramount+.
The UFC has not confirmed the news or if Nunes will remain on the card.
