NXT’s ZARIA Challenging For Knockouts World Title, Mara Sadè vs. Ryan Nemeth, Joe Hendry In Action Added To TNA Genesis

Changes made to the Genesis lineup.

As a result of Dani Luna having travel-related issues, she was not able to be at the debut of TNA Thursday Night iMPACT on AMC in Garland, Texas. She is also not able to be at the Genesis pay-per-view on January 17th, where she was scheduled to challenge Léi Yǐng Lee for the Knockouts World Championship. With that in play, Lee signed a contract for an open challenge title defense at Genesis. Coming out to answer the call were NXT’s ZARIA and Sol Ruca. Ruca stated that ZARIA should take the opportunity because no one deserves it more than her.

TNA X Division Champion Leon Slater is not going to be at Genesis. He was scheduled to defend the title in a three-way involving Cedric Alexander and Moose. TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella revealed that Joe Hendry will take Slater’s place in the three-way and Alexander will get his title match at a later date.

Also joining the pay-per-view lineup is a singles match between Mara Sadè and Ryan Nemeth.

Here is the updated card for Genesis:

  • J.D.C.’s Retirement Match: J.D.C. vs. Eddie Edwards
