Mike Santana Def. Frankie Kazarian For TNA World Championship On 1/15 TNA iMPACT

A new World Champion is crowned.

Closing out the debut of TNA Wrestling’s Thursday Night iMPACT on AMC debut show was a TNA World Championship match. Frankie Kazarian defended the belt against Mike Santana.

There was a point in the bout when the referee was accidentally knocked down. Kazarian went on to hit Santana with the belt and gave him a ‘Fade to Black,’ but Santana kicked out at two.

Santana would eventually go on to connect with his ‘Spin the Block’ clothesline to put Kazarian away and become a two-time TNA World Champion.

Santana had been on his chase to regain the title since Kazarian took it from him when he used his Call Your Shot Gauntlet trophy to get a title match against a beaten-up Santana in November 2025.
