Lash Legend discusses her skills from basketball and how they have helped her as a professional wrestler.
In 2019, Lash would partake in her first season in the WNBA, but would later have a WWE tryout in 2020, signing with the company where she has worked since. For Legend, her basketball skills have transferred over to professional wrestling.
While speaking to WittyWhittier in a new interview, Lash Legend discussed how her basketball skills transferred over to being a professional wrestler.
“What’s so funny is when I played basketball, I was really a bully in the paint. I was a power forward, small forward, so I played on the inside and outside. But I was known for just being tenacious and out rebounding people and just bullying people, essentially. So yeah, I had a good amount of that in me already. But it’s just funny how I just randomly got an opportunity to try out in WWE, and I was like, OMG, like I have to at least try. Like it’s amazing. So I- it just happened abruptly. I was like, yeah, this is something I want to do, and I tried out and they were like, ‘yeah, we want you.’ I was like, OMG, I guess bye the basketball. So yeah, I think it’s helped me a lot though. Just all the skills that I’ve had, just, you know, foundation and like, how you move your body, footwork, stuff like that has carried over. So I’m grateful for that as well.”
Elsewhere in another recent interview, Lash spoke about her partnership with Nia Jax. You can read more about that here.
