R-Truth comments on his WWE contract not being renewed in a sneak peek of WWE: Unreal Season 2.
In the middle of last year, one of the year’s biggest stories centered around Truth, who tweeted out that he had been released from his WWE contract. While this was not technically accurate, the company were set to let Truth go upon his contract expiring until a massive fan outcry earned Truth a new deal, returning at WWE Money In The Bank last year.
While speaking in a sneak peek of WWE: Unreal season 2, R-Truth spoke about his contract not being renewed, admitting that the news hurt and that he had initially taken it as him being released.
“I got the call that my contract wasn’t going to be renewed, and I’m like, ‘so am I released? Am I?’ I took it as I was released. I just, I was hurt.”
Elsewhere in the same trailer, Triple H clarified once again that R-Truth had never not been with the company during the process. You can read more about that here.
