McAfee has served several roles over the past several years in WWE, serving as an NXT pre-show host, a WrestleMania pre-show host, an announcer as well as competing in several matches inside the squared circle for the company, including most recently at WWE Backlash 2025 where he took on Gunther in singles action.

While speaking during the first episode of WWE: Unreal’s second season, Triple H noted to a lot of people, Pat McAfee is the face of the WWE.

“Pat McAfee is the face of the WWE to a lot of people. Pat’s association with us goes back quite a way. I was vaguely aware of who he was. I knew he was a kicker for the Colts. You know, its been incredible to see him go from, like, little podcaster to NFL stuff to ESPN, to like, just keep blowing up along the way.”

Elsewhere in the first episode of the second season of WWE: Unreal season two, Becky Lynch noted that she is probably on her final contract with the company. You can read more about that here.

Season 2 of WWE: Unreal is available for streaming now.
