R-Truth Pitched Idea Where John Cena Sr. Would Pretend He Was His Son That Ran Away

R-Truth tells John Cena Sr about an idea he had where he would pretend he was his son that ran away.

Over the past several years, R-Truth and John Cena’s wrestling careers have been intertwined ever since Truth declared that Cena was his ‘childhood hero’ despite being older than Cena, culminating in a 2025 program where Truth would try to bring Cena back from the dark side following his heel turn. Now, it seems Truth had an idea to make it even more personal.

During the second episode of WWE: Unreal’s second season, R-Truth would speak to John Cena Sr at his album watch party, with Truth sharing a pitch he’d made where Cena Sr would pretend he was his son that ran away.

R-Truth: “I had an idea where I would come down here and you pretend I was your son that had ran away.”

John Cena Sr: “Oh that would be great!”

R-Truth: “Oh my God I had a whole thing about it. Ask John about it.”

John Cena Sr: “I am going to ask him!”
