Chelsea Green comments on her first WWE Women’s US Title reign ending.

On the May 24th, 2025 edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Zelina Vega would shockingly take the WWE Women’s US Title off Chelsea, ending her reign after five months. Now, Green has commented on how she felt after the loss.

While speaking during the third episode WWE: Unreal’s second season, Chelsea Green discussed losing the WWE Women’s US Title.

“It’s been the greatest five months of my career honestly, but I get to work and something has changed. I find out a couple of hours before showtime that I am dropping the title to Zelina Vega, and I just feel like, this wasn’t it. This is not what I imagined, I thought we were gonna have longer, I thought we were going to do more. At the end of the day, I had so much more planned for this reign, and that’s what’s upsetting. With them kind of just springing that on me, it can go one of two ways. You know, you can react out of emotion and you can be angry and you can be upset, I just refuse to let that happen because, again, this shit is not real. This is not real. I’m still going home to my husband and by dogs and my cats and the house we’re building, and I’m still living the best life outside of here. So the conversation goes, ‘you’re losing the title’ and I go ‘okay.’ With that being said, the crowd reacted amazing. So as I was lying, looking up at the lights, I was like ‘okay. I did my job’. That is just the way this works and look, if another amazing opportunity presents itself on a silver platter, I will not deny it.”

Elsewhere in the same episode, Bruce Prichard discussed Chelsea’s ability to make the most out of little time given. You can read more about that here.
