Becky Lynch Shares That She Was Shedding Tears Behind Her Sunglasses When WWE SmackDown Was In Dublin In August 2025

Lynch was grateful to be back in her home city and country.
While WWE is on their European tour and the company is promoting season two of WWE: Unreal on Netflix, talents are on a media blitz.
The Irish Sun published the written version of their chat with Ireland’s own Becky Lynch. She looked back on when Dublin, Ireland, hosted Friday Night SmackDown in August 2025. Lynch shared that she was shedding tears behind the sunglasses she wore during her entrance.
“They used a lot of profanity. They may have said, ‘Shut the F up.’ But they didn’t say ‘F.’ They said the other word. I came out with sunglasses. You couldn’t tell that, behind those sunglasses, there was tears in my eyes that this huge moment that I had always wanted had finally happened, and to hear the response from the crowd, to be the first woman to walk out there while we were live on SmackDown, was absolutely incredible, and then beyond that, I got to tell them everything that I really thought and how they didn’t deserve it and they didn’t appreciate me, and that felt even better.”
Lynch was back in her home country in the city of Belfast for the 1/19 Monday Night Raw. Lynch defended her Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Maxxine Dupri.
