Drew McIntyre Attacks Cody Rhodes And Jacob Fatu At Saturday Night’s Main Event

Drew McIntyre attacks Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

The 1/9 WWE SmackDown saw Cody Rhodes lose his Undisputed WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre in a Three Stages of Hell match. Jacob Fatu became the catalyst to Cody’s title reign, as he attacked both men in the ring that night, allowing McIntyre to sneak out of the ring and win the final fall.

A match was booked for Saturday Night’s Main Event between Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu.

This was the opening match of the night. Before Cody could finish his entrance, Fatu attacked him. The referee tried to bring things under control, but got knocked down in the process. When the security tried to separate the two men, Fatu attacked them as well.

The bout continued outside the ring for several minutes, with both men going at it against each other.

Suddenly, Drew McIntyre attacked Fatu and Rhodes. He lowblowed Rhodes and then hit a powerbomb through the announcing table. With both men unable to continue anymore, the show went to commercials.

It should be noted that the match never officially began.
