EVIL Set To Leave NJPW At End Of January

EVIL is set to leave NJPW at the end of January.
Earlier this month, Fightful Select reported that NJPW’s EVIL could be looking for opportunities outside the Japanese promotions. On January 25, NJPW officially announced the wrestler’s departure from the company at the end of this month, after his current contract expires.
NJPW released this statement on their website:
“Thank you for supporting New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
After careful consideration and discussions with NJPW management, EVIL, who has been a long standing member of the NJPW roster will leave New Japan Pro-Wrestling at the expiry of his contract at the end of January 2026.
We apologise to fans for the sudden nature of this announcement. New Japan Pro-Wrestling wishes EVIL the very best in his future activities.”
EVIL first joined NJPW in 2011, but left after two years. He then returned to the company again in 2015.
