Liv Morgan: Raquel Rodriguez Had Multiple Title Shots, I Don’t Know What She’d Really Hold Against Me
Liv Morgan doesn’t think her relationship with Raquel Rodriguez is in danger.
To the shock of many, Morgan eliminated Rodriguez from the women’s Royal Rumble match, which took place at the event of the same name on January 31. Morgan went on to win the match, earning herself a title match at WrestleMania 42.
Speaking with TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast for a new interview, Morgan was asked about Rodriguez possibly feeling some distain towards her following the elimination.
“I don’t really think in that manner. You know, Raquel had multiple title shots against Stephanie. I think this was her fourth championship match. I don’t know what she’d really hold against me. I’ve beaten it to death, she had an opportunity now I have an opportunity. She had four opportunities, you know? I’m not worried about Raquel turning on me. We’ve been through so much together with her illness and my shoulder surgery. We are so much stronger than fighting over a title opportunity. I understand it can be a nuanced situation but I believe that my friendship with her is stronger and will outlast any kind of apprehension that she may feel towards me for eliminating her.”
Liv Morgan is set to appear on the February 6 episode of WWE SmackDown. Fans can check out the current lineup for the show by clicking here.
