Nikki Bella Addresses ‘Coop’ Chants On WWE Raw, Thinking They Were Boos

The Bellas (Nikki Bella & Brie Bella) returned on WWE Raw last Monday, stating that they would be aiming for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.

To open the promo, Nikki seemingly took a shot at the Eagles, thinking the Philadelphia crowd was booing her. They were instead saying, “Coooop” in reference to Eagles cornerback Cooper DeJean, who has been linked romantically to Nikki.

Speaking on the Nikki & Brie Show, the Bellas addressed the promo and chants.

Brie: When we walked out thre, and I thought we were getting boo’d.

Nikki: This is my thing. I’ve only been on TV, before the Rumble, was three weeks. I’m in my heel run, and I love being in my heel run. As you know, we have to have a certain mindset before we go out, and I always put myself in a heel mode mindset. It’s how I work, do things, and prep. When I go out there, it make sense that I was getting booed. She laughed about what I said. I wasn’t dissing my Eagles. When you’re live, you’re just reacting to what is organically happening. What I said about the Eagles, I just assumed they knew I was a diehard Eagles fan, so they’re booing the fact that they’re not in the Super Bowl.

It was such a Total Bellas moment when you were like, ‘No, dummy.’

Brie: I did say, ‘They’re saying Coop.’ None of it was scripted.

Nikki: You just don’t know what to say in the moment. All I know, and what we’re taught at times, when you have a crowd chanting something so much, you need to acknowledge and then we move on. I don’t know if that was the best way to acknowledge the crowd.

Brie: You added fuel to the fire.

Nikki: I didn’t mean it that way.

The Bellas reiterated that they thought it felt like a “Total Divas” or “Total Bellas” segment.
