Kevin Nash: In 2011, CM Punk Said Something Off-Script That Pissed Off Triple H. He Told Me, ‘I’m Beating That Motherf*cker’
Kevin Nash explains the 2011 heat between CM Punk and Triple H, and how plans changed.
In 2011, WWE was setting up a match between Kevin Nash and CM Punk after Nash cost Punk the WWE World Title at SummerSlam.
The feud continued, but a match never materialized as Triple H stepped in and faced Punk at Night of Champions.
Speaking on Kliq This, Nash explained what went down behind the scenes.
“When I was supposed to wrestle CM Punk, after I cost him the belt, he said something that pissed off Paul [Triple H] about something with him and Stephanie (McMahon0, and it wasn’t on-script. It pissed Paul off. Paul came back and basically said, ‘You’re not wrestling Punk, I am. I’m beating that motherfucker.’ He was that hot. It wasn’t like, Paul isn’t a bitch. It was, ‘Okay, motherfucker.’ Kliq rules. You want to pull them out and measure them, here we go. Suck on that. I know how much Paul cares for him now. To bring him back and everything that happened and Paul to trust Phil with everything, and vice versa. That’s what people don’t understand that aren’t in the business. You can have that ind of fucking heat with somebody years ago, but when you have to make money and music together, how quickly that dissolves,” he said.
Nash would feud with Triple H after he was done with CM Punk.
Elsewhere during the interview, Nash explained why he has heat with Punk. You can find his full comments here.
