Kris Statlander Assesses Her AEW Women’s Title Reign, ‘I’m Doing Everything I Can To Live Up To The Hype’

Kris Statlander captured the AEW Women’s Title at All Out 2025, defeating Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter, and Thekla in a four-way match.

The victory ended Storm’s lengthy and highly regarded reign, and she followed up by defeating Storm and Mercedes Mone in singles matches.

Speaking to Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture, Statlander was asked for her assessment of the title reign and if it’s been everything she dreamed of.

“No, because you can’t ever predict how anything is going to go. I would never want to pretend or try and have this idea in my head of ‘this is exactly how it needs to be.’ The way that I won the title was kind of out of nowhere and it wasn’t an expected thing. I agree with that. It was a little bit of a shock to me as well. However, I’m doing everything that I can to exceed expectations and live up to the hype,” she said.

Statlander is set to defend the title against Thekla in a strap match on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite.
