Katsuya Murashima Competes In Final NJPW Match Before Excursion

Murashima finishes up as a Young Lion.

The Kickoff match of NJPW The New Beginning in Osaka saw Toru Yano and Togi Makabe take on Young Lions Shoma Kato and Katsuya Murashima.

Kato will be graduating from his Young Lion status after the NJPW x CMLL Fantasticamania tour that begins on February 18th and wraps on February 27th.

As for Murashima, his final match was at The New Beginning in Osaka, and he and Kato fell in defeat to Makabe and Yano.

Murashima is the winner of the 2026 Young Lion Cup tournament. It is not known where he’ll be going on excursion, but Kato is set to depart for Mexico.
