Kyle Fletcher discusses what other realms of entertainment he pulls from to inspire his pro wrestling character work.

For many professional wrestlers, they are known to be inspired by the talent that came before them, with Fletcher being amongst that talent that have done so. In addition, he has also taken inspiration from other realms of entertainment.

While speaking to Pario Magazine in a new interview, Kyle Fletcher shared how he also takes inspiration from music, as well as anime.

“I think the cool thing is I like to take inspiration from anything really. I think for me, obviously wrestling has always been my like top passion, my number one passion. So it’s very easy for me to think about, oh, okay, who are the wrestlers that I like, love to watch. So I’ll go back and watch those matches and sometimes that’ll give me inspiration. Sometimes it’s just like a mood lifter, you know what I mean? Just to, just to enjoy watching something. But then other than that, I think a lot of character stuff comes from music. I’m a big music guy, anime as well. I love the anime villain-esque character like that, big, scary, like, strongest form of whatever you’ve ever seen and like the the good guy has to build up his strength (to beat him).”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Fletcher spoke about getting to return to Australia with the TNT Championship. You can read more about that here.
