Riki Choshu Stepping Down From His Role With GLEAT

Choshu will remain with GLEAT’s parent company.

LIDET Entertainment, the parent company of the GLEAT promotion, pushed out a statement about Riki Choshu, who served as an ‘observer’ for GLEAT.

Choshu is stepping down from his role with GLEAT, effective February 28th, 2026.

The three-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion will remain as an advisor for GLEAT’s parent company.

Choshu’s in-ring career lasted from 1974 to 2019. His retirement match was in June of 2019, and it featured him teaming with Shiro Koshinaka and Tomohiro Ishii against Keiji Muto, Tatsumi Fujinami, and Togi Makabe.
