Antonio Inoki Human-Like Robot Being Created Using AI
The project has a timeline completion date of 2027.
Antonio Inoki passed away in October 2022 at the age of 79. His birthday is February 20th, and in honor of his birthday, a launch event in Tokyo was held on the 19th for an ‘Android Antonio Inoki’ project.
It was two years ago that a plan was revealed to create a human-like robot of Inoki using artificial intelligence. The project aims to ‘revive’ Inoki three-dimensionally. This is being put together by Inoki Genki Factory and AVITA Inc. The CEO of AVITA Inc. is Hiroshi Ishiguro, who is a roboticist and engineer. They are aiming for the project to be completed by Inoki’s birthday in 2027.

The younger brother of Antonio Inoki, Keisuke Inoki, serves as the President of the Inoki Genki Factory. Keisuke stated that one major purpose of the robot is for it to be an advisor for the youth 100 years from now. He added that he wants people to understand the kind of person his brother was.
Hiroshi Ishiguro was asked if the robot Inoki could wrestle, and he said it would take some time before that could ever happen.
