Oleg Boltin Ends Tomohiro Ishii’s Reign As STRONG Openweight Champion At NJPW The New Beginning USA

A new STRONG Openweight Champion.

The first championship match of the night at NJPW The New Beginning USA was a STRONG Openweight Championship bout.

Tomohiro Ishii put the title on the line against Oleg Boltin, and the conclusion of the bout saw Boltin put Ishii away to capture the title.

It is Boltin’s third title win in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. He is a former NEVER Openweight Champion and is currently one-third of the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champions with Hirooki Goto and YOSHI-HASHI.

Ishii had been in possession of the belt since April 2025. The defense against Boltin was the second of his reign.
