Gunther On Tapping Out To Jey Uso: If The Audience Views That As Weakness, Let Them Be

Gunther has ended legendary careers in recent months, forcing John Cena and AJ Styles to tap out or pass out in a sleeper hold.

The tables were turned against Gunther at WrestleMania 41 when Jey Uso forced him to tap out in a sleeper hold. The crowd still reminds him of what happened at the biggest event of the year, chanting “You tapped out” when he’s in the ring.

Speaking to Cody Rhodes on What Do You Want To Talk About? Gunther was asked about tapping to Jey.

“With Jey, at that moment, that’s the thing, I can swallow my pride. When it’s over, it’s over, I have no issue with that. If the audience views that as weakness, let them be. It’s alright,” he said.

Gunther got his revenge on Jey on the June 9 episode of WWE Raw, winning the WWE World Heavyweight Title back.

Gunther scored another submission victory on Monday’s Raw, tapping out Dragon Lee.
