Lola Vice Talks Lucha Lola Chants On NXT, Says AAA Is Putting Eyes On Her Outside Of The US
Lola Vice is proud of her work in AAA.
After working for the company for eight months, Vice is finally a champion in AAA, as she recently captured the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships with Mr. Iguana.
In a new interview with Denise Salcedo, Vice first talked about seeing the company change right in front of her eyes.
“When I first got told, ‘Hey Lola, you’re coming to Mexico.’ I was like, wow, okay, I’ve never wrestled outside of NXT. I went to Mexico two or three show before WWE completely took over it and I got to see the way the talent wrestled, I got to see the ring that they would wrestle in, a little piece of wood, they’re always in pain. I saw the way they did things and it made me appreciate the facilities that we had at NXT more. Then, I saw when WWE took over and Undertaker came in as the boss an they changed the ring, they changed the production, they changed the crew. Not only did I see AAA before, but I saw it grow in front of my eyes to what it is today.”
Vice continued on and stated that her run in AAA is the best thing that has happened to her career.
“Then, to be a part of that and be a character on the show and show a different side to Lola Vice that’s not as fight but more a character in AAA, I think the fans have seen me work two different ways. I’ve tried to sprinkle in my Lucha stuff that I do in Mexico into NXT and now there’s chants of Lucha Lola, which I think is so funny and so cute. I think AAA has put eyes on me outside of the United States. Even when I went to Saudi, I feel people were recognizing me also for my work in AAA. I think this has just been the best thing to ever happen to my career.”
NXT Vengeance Day will feature an Underground match between Vice and Kelani Jordan. Fans can check out the current betting odds for that show by clicking here.
