Persephone Explains How She Approached AEW/ROH Bookings Before Signing Her Dual Contract

Persephone earned her dual contract.

Back in January, news broke regarding Persephone signing a dual contract with CMLL and AEW. This was a welcoming news for AEW/ROH fans, as her matches impressed many in 2025.

Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview, the 24-year-old spoke about earning her way in AEW/ROH.

“It was something like that. I was doing, since last year, kind of like collaborations, appearances with AEW. Obviously, CMLL would send their representatives to AEW for shows like Forbidden Door, appearances on Collision or whatever, Dynamite, Ring of Honor. So I would get sent as sort of the representative of the women from CMLL. But obviously, in that moment, I’m going and I’m kind of collaborating with them. I’m not officially part of the roster or anything. I’d like to think that those moments, those matches led to the offer. Cause I think every time I went, it was with the idea of, I don’t know if this is going to be the last time they asked for me, or I don’t know if this is the last time they’re going to send me, so I need to make sure that this is a great moment or a great match or whatever I had to do to make sure that I’m not under contract with them, but they’re going to remember who I am. Even though I’m only here for a moment, they’re going to know who I am and I think those moments led to the offer of the contract.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Persephone talked about wanting to change injury culture in Mexico. Fans can check out her full comments by clicking here.
