CM Punk Discusses Getting A Larry Tattoo: ‘It’s Just A Fun Way To Remember Him’

CM Punk comments on getting a tattoo in honor of Larry.

In December 2025, CM Punk shared news of his pet dog Larry’s passing with the world. Punk and AJ Lee rescued Larry from PAWS Chicago back in February 2015.

Earlier this year, Punk got a new chest tattoo in honor of his late dog. This tattoo was a topic of discussion in CM Punk’s Chicago Homecoming Vlog that was uploaded on WWE’s YouTube channel. Punk said:

“The Larry tattoo is his paw print that I knew I was gonna get eventually. It’s just a fun way to remember him. He would stand on me if I was laying down and he needed anything. He would get up, beat me a little bit, and I would ignore him playfully. Then he would just stand on my chest and stare at me until I would finally say, ‘Do you want to go for a walk?’ He would get all excited. His foot would go right there (pointing to his chest) and his other foot would just hit me in the face. I’m also kind of out of space, I didn’t know where else to put it, so I put it right there because you can’t miss it. It’s super visible and it was painful. I think that’s kind of beautiful in a way too because it was the worst day of my life, but he gave me so many great days. So it’s just a way to remember him.”
