Report: Konnan Hospitalized, Undergoes Leg Amputation

Konnan is reportedly hospitalized and has undergone leg amputation.
On Friday, it was reported by Mexican sports outlet RECORD that Konnan was hospitalized in San Diego and had one of his legs amputated following medical complications.
There has been no confirmation from Konnan or anyone close to him. The original report came from @elplanchitas.
The original statement from elplancitas read, “I can confirm that Carlos Santiago Espada (62 years old) had a leg amputated. For some time now, the Triple A star has been dealing with health problems that have left him in a delicate state in San Diego, United States.”
Konnan has dealt with a variety of health issues over the years, including undergoing a kidney transplant in 2007. In 2022, he was on dialysis due to kidney problems related to a COVID diagnosis in 2021.
Konnan has remained active in the world of wrestling through his podcast and helping with AAA, where he has also served as a commentator.
