Bayley On Her Tag Team With Lyra Valkyria: ‘I Feel Like She Helps Me A Lot, She Teaches Me So Much’

Bayley comments on her tag team with Lyra Valkyria.

Last year, before WrestleMania 41, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria became a tag team. They previously feuded with each other over the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Now, Bayley has become more of a mentor to her.

On Busted Open, Bayley was asked if she feels frustrated about not having a clear direction during WrestleMania season. She said she always tries to do her best with the hand she’s been given, and that’s what she’s trying to do with her partnership with Lyra Valkyria on WWE television.

“I love to constantly evolve if I’m in these spots where I feel I know I could be doing better or I know I could be doing more. I just try to figure out what I can do with what’s in front of me. Right now, I feel like that’s me and Lyra as a team. Her and I have these conversations a lot now. I’m like, you know what, if you want to dump me, just go ahead and do your own thing. She’s like, ‘No!’ We both believe in this team so much. I feel like she helps me a lot. She teaches me so much. She, a lot this past year, has kept me hopeful and grounded. I feel like I’ve done a little bit different for her. We’re trying to bring her out of her shell and show more of who she truly is aside from how incredible she is in the ring. We both really believe in this tag team. We’re put in these situations all the time for a reason, and they’re nice tests. I think it really shows your true character when your back’s against the wall, and you’re not just in that spotlight. It’s like, what are you going to do here, though?”

Elsewhere in the interview, Bayley commented on whether she’s nervous about missing WrestleMania again. Fans can check her comments here.
