Luther Thinks Role As ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm’s Butler Was Only Supposed To Be Short-Term
Luther also re-told the story of how the role came to be.
Sitting down with Highspots for a Sign-it-Live session was Luther, who serves as the on-screen butler for ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm in All Elite Wrestling.
Luther reshared the story of how his role came to fruition, and it derived from AEW President Tony Khan watching the 1950 film Sunset Boulevard. Luther added that he believes the pairing with Storm was only supposed to be short-term.
“So T.K. came up with the idea from the movie Sunset Boulevard, about an old actress whose butler kind of, you know, was her butler. Helped get her going and had this real deep connection with her and so yeah, I guess I kind of look like him and there you go.” Luther was then asked to elaborate on a point he made off-camera about thinking the role was short-term, “It was gonna be, I think, like a couple times but then it just really gelled and became a thing and started rolling on its own so, there you go. The best stuff always happens by accident lots of times.”
Storm was in action on the 3/7 AEW Collision with her partner Mina Shirakawa. They fell in defeat to Megan Bayne and Lena Kross.
