Ricky Saints’ Concert Segment On 3/3 WWE NXT Was Not His Idea

An update on the segment being removed from socials.

Going into NXT’s Vengeance Day Premium Live Event, where Ricky Saints would challenge Joe Hendry for the NXT Championship, there was a segment involving the two on the 3/3 NXT on The CW.

Ricky Saints had a concert to mimic the concerts that Hendry does. The segment received backlash on social media, and Fightful Select learned that the idea to do the concert was not Saints’, but he did write the material. It is noted in the Select write-up that Saints tried to stray away from what would draw comparisons to The Rock.

Those that @FightfulSelect spoke to in NXT said the segment wasn’t a Ricky Saints pitch or idea, and was written by him, as he’s tried to lean out of things on WWE TV that would draw comparisons to the things the Rock has done on TV.
