Dominik Mysterio Fought Against Being Part Of First Incarnation Of Judgment Day, Says It Felt ‘Weird & Hokey’

Mysterio said the presentation felt ‘weird and hokey.’

It has been four years since the Judgment Day faction was established in WWE, and the original members were Adam Copeland (Edge), Rhea Ripley, and Damian Priest.

Finn Bálor would join, and then eventually Dominik Mysterio turned heel and aligned with the group. Looking back at the first incarnation of Judgment Day, Mysterio told Brad Gillmore on The Collection show that he did not think there was much legs for the Judgment Day at first. He said he fought against being part of it.

“No, not at all,” Mysterio responded when asked if he saw the legs on Judgment Day in the early days of the group. “Man, I fought it for a long time. I don’t know. It felt weird and hokey, like the very beginning of it… Something happened where all four of us clicked, and I think that’s what kind of made it work because we all kind of clicked outside of the ring, and we were all riding together. So, it all kind of transitioned to inside of the ring and man, it worked… There’s not one time in The Judgment Day where we haven’t had a championship, or all of us covered in gold, or constantly kicking people out to bring people in. It’s crazy. It’s insane.”

The latest update on the faction is that Finn Bálor has been kicked out. The group currently consists of Dominik, Liv Morgan, J.D. McDonagh, and Raquel Rodriguez.
