AJ Francis Comments On Potential Match With Jelly Roll, Says He Has An ‘Inferior Chokeslam’

AJ Francis continues to take shots at Jelly Roll.
Back in February, the popular country music star attended TNA No Surrender in Nashville. During the event, AJ Francis insulted Roll and invited him to “cross the line”.
Speaking with MuscleManMalcolm, Francis first commented on the fish filet joke that he made at Jelly Roll’s expense.
“I thought it was apropos, you know? I felt like everyone got the joke at the exact same time. The best jokes, you don’t have to explain.”
Francis went on to explain that he first met the Grammy winner about a decade ago.
“I actually met Jelly Roll like 10 years ago through our mutual friend Mike Busey down at the Sausage Castle in Orlando. I talked to him before the show backstage and I was like, ‘You want to be in the crowd?’ He was like, ‘Yeah.’ I was like, ‘I’m going to talk shit to you.’ He was like, ‘Say whatever you want.’ I was like, ‘Alright, cool.’ I told Tommy and Hunter and all the people that actually run the show, I told them like, ‘I’m going to talk shit to Jelly Roll out there.’ They’re like, ‘Wait, did Jelly Roll say that was okay?’ I was like, ‘Yes. He said it was cool.’ They were like, ‘Alright, just making sure he heard what you were gonna say.’ I was like, ‘Yes, he said it was cool, don’t worry about it.’ I went out there and I had this whole idea for the promo because if you watched the whole promo, I compare myself to Bad Bunny. We are very similar. We’re both great rappers, we’re both world traveler, we’re both great wrestlers, and we both love being surrounded by beautiful Latin women. So, we have a lot in common. I was just going to do bits about Bad Bunny and me being awesome, but then I saw Jelly Roll who is always a rapper and a wrestler. I’m in Nashville, so I was like, ‘Let’s change course.’ That’s what happened.”
When asked about a potential match, Francis admitted that there is no money in him defeating Jelly Roll.
“Okay, so, here’s the thing. There’s absolutely no money in me beating Jelly Roll. The money is in Jelly Roll beating me. That’s what the people come to see. The only problem is, that’s not what they would see. What they would see is that his inferior chokeslam would be put to rest by the down payment. He don’t even have a win in wrestling.”
The ‘Need A Favor’ artist is set to appear on Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown. Check out the rest of the lineup for the show by clicking here.
