Lucha Bros Start Off Rey de Reyes & Tease Reunion, Penta Says He’ll Defend WWE IC Title In AAA

Kicking off week one of AAA’s Rey de Reyes broadcast was an appearance from Rey Fenix. He gave a speech to the audience and then introduced his brother, WWE Intercontinental Champion Penta.

Penta brought up that due to his shoulder injury in late 2025, he and Fenix were not able to reunite in the ring at AAA Guerra de Titanes. They then teased a tag team reunion of the Lucha Brothers.

The brothers teased that it would happen at either Triplemanía or when AAA returns to Puebla. Penta added that he’ll defend the Intercontinental Championship in AAA and said anyone can step up.

Penta will present the honorary sword to the winner of the Rey de Reyes tournament final four-way featuring Santos Escobar, Original El Grande Americano, La Parka, and El Grande Americano II.
