Diamond Dallas Page Says Jake Roberts Is Coming Up On 14 Years Of Sobriety

Jake Roberts has been open about his struggles with drugs and alcohol over the course of his career, including failed rehab stints.

Over a decade ago, Roberts linked up with Diamond Dallas Page, who helped turn his life around in a big way.

“We’re coming up on the 14th year of Jake being sober. I don’t even think about it anymore. I can have a drink around him. He doesn’t care. He used to say, ‘I’m a man, I deserve three beers. I can have three beers.’ At some point, I said, ‘When you’re really a man, it’ll be, I don’t need three beers. I don’t want three beers.’ I know what comes after that. It’s never any good. He’s doing so good,” DDP said on Wrestling Life with Ben Veal.

Roberts has continued to battle health issues over the years, including a hip revision surgery in January.
